The Ottawa Titans Field of Dreams Foundation announced it will host an on-field movie night at Ottawa Stadium Thursday, July 31.

The foundation, which raises money to help children learn to play baseball, as well as other sporting activities, will screen the 1989 baseball classic Field of Dreams, starring Kevin Costner and Ray Liotta.

Tickets are $10 per person, with all proceeds going towards the foundation, as well as other local charities.

“The Ottawa Titans Field of Dreams Foundation is thrilled to offer this special event to all our great fans,” said Jacques Shore, president of the Field of Dreams Foundation. “This is the perfect movie for all ages and is a terrific reflection of our love for baseball.”

“We so look forward to watching “Field of Dreams” under the stars at our ballpark!”

Doors will open for the event at 8:00 p.m., and tickets are still available on the Titans’ website.

The event will be held opposite a Titans road game in Quebec City, where Ottawa will take on the division-leading Capitales.

After a woeful start to the season, the Titans have rebounded by winning 12 of their last 15 games, bringing them into contention for the Frontier League postseason.

Up next, Ottawa will travel to Massachusetts for a four-game series against the Brockton Rox, beginning with a double-header on Friday. It will be the Titans’ first games since the league-wide all-star break this week.
