Baycats start another winning streak

Date:

The Barrie Baycats went a perfect 3-0 last weekend, snapping a losing skid and starting another winning streak that the defending IBL champions will look to extend on Thursday.

Barrie is now 16-10 and has vaulted up to third place in league standings as the midway mark of the season approaches.

The Baycats are bracing for a busy weekend of action, playing three games in the next three days before the league pauses for the All-Star game Sunday in Hamilton.

And coincidentally, Barrie is facing off against what you may call the bottom of the order — the three teams sitting in the cellar of the nine-team league.

First up, the Baycats are taking on the seventh place Guelph Royals tonight at Barrie’s Athletic Kulture Park. On Friday, the Baycats will stay at home to take on the second-last Kitchener Panthers. And on Saturday, the squad ventures off to Brantford to tangle with the league worst Red Sox.
