Colts complete a perfect weekend

Date:

The Barrie Colts are starting 2026 on a tear.

Barrie downed Owen Sound 5-1 on Sunday, extending their winning streak to six. The Colts have now won seven of their first eight games of 2026, with the sole blemish being a shootout loss on Jan. 3

Barrie hasn’t lost in regulation since Dec. 20.

The Colts began their weekend of play on Thursday, defeating Flint 5-3 on home ice. Barrie stayed in town for a Saturday tilt against Oshawa, taking that game 4-2.

The Colts sit second in the OHL Eastern Conference with 62 points. They lead the Central Division, boasting a 14-point lead.

Next up is a Thursday night tilt in St. Catharine’s against the Niagara Ice Dogs.
