Police charge 18-year-old in death of man in the city’s west end

Ottawa police have charged an 18-year-old in connection with a murder in the city’s west end.

Police on Tuesday charged Firomsa Motuma with second-degree murder following a slaying the previous day at a community housing property.

On Monday, 43-year-old Jeffrey Wilson of Spencerville was found dead in theĀ 2900 block of Penny Dr.

Anyone with information about this or any other homicide is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493.
