Georgian basketball teams off to a roaring start

Date:

Georgian College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams won their respective season openers earlier this week, both taking down George Brown College in Toronto.

On home court, the men’s team routed George Brown by a score of 99-82, led by Trey Wilson who scored a game high 32 points.

Meanwhile, the women’s team needed overtime in their first game of the season, but ultimately emerged victorious thanks, in large part, due to Lily Roberts-Neef, who posted a well-rounded statline of 18 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds.

Both squads will take on Durham College in Oshawa, Ont., as they look to stay undefeated to start the season.
