Colts win streak snapped but remain atop of Eastern Conference

All good things come to end.

The Barrie Colts’ double-digit winning streak finally came to an end on Saturday after dropping a 3-0 decision on the road to the Windsor Spitfires.

But if there’s a silver lining there it’s that the loss is unlikely to impact the Colts’ playoff positioning.

Barrie sits 19 points ahead of North Bay in the Central Division. The Colts would automatically take the second seed in the Eastern Conference if they win their division.

And the Colts are already back in the win column, downing Brampton 4-2 in a rare Wednesday day game.

Next up for Barrie is a game Thursday night against the Eastern Conference leading Brantford Bulldogs.
