Colts sign Luc Gauvreau

Date:

The Barrie Colts have signed top prospect Luc Gauvreau to an Ontario Hockey League scholarship and development agreement.

The Hamilton, Ont. product landed a spot on the roster after a strong training camp and preseason. Prior to heading to Barrie, Gauvreau spent the 2024–25 season in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Caledonia Corvairs, scoring four goals and netting three assists over 29 games.

“The Barrie Colts and all of Colts Country would like to congratulate Luc and his family on this exciting milestone and officially welcome him to the organization,” the team said in a statement.

Next up for Gauvreau and the Colts is a Thursday night tilt at home against the Ottawa 67s. They’ll wrap up their weekend play with another home game against the Brampton Steelheads on Saturday night.
