Man charged in Rideau Street homicide

A man has been charged in a stabbing death that took place near downtown’s Rideau Centre shopping mall.

Ottawa police said they’ve charged 70-year-old Yves Brisebois with first-degree murder in connection with the slaying on Rideau Street on Feb. 19.

The victim was a 58-year-old man, according to police.

OPS says ayone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493.
