Colts complete another perfect weekend thanks to stellar goaltending

Date:

The Barrie Colts are riding high after sweeping both games last weekend and extending their lead atop the Central Division.

Goaltending and defence were keys to both wins, with the Colts allowing only two goals over the weekend.

Arvin Jaswal stopped 25 shots in Barrie’s 6-1 throttling of the Owen Sound Attack on Thursday, while Ben Hrebik made 42 saves in the Colts’ 2-1 win over Niagara on Saturday.

Next up for Barrie is a tilt against the Sudbury Wolves at home on Thursday. The Colts travel to Brampton to play the Steelheads on Friday and return home on Saturday to finish the weekend taking on the London Knights.

Barrie sits in second in the OHL’s Eastern Conference, 10 points behind the Brantford Bulldogs, the top team in the league.
