The two hottest teams in the OHL’s Eastern Conference are going toe-to-toe this week.
The Ottawa 67’s will host the Barrie Colts on Friday night, with both franchises looking to continue their torrid pace in the first half of the season. Both Ottawa and Barrie lost only one game in regulation in all of November, and are chasing down Brantford for the top spot in the conference.
Ottawa has 40 points over 27 games, good enough for third. Barrie has only 32 points in the same number of games, but sits in second in the conference because the team leads the Central Division.
Ottawa plays in the East Division alongside Brantford.
Only the Flint Firebirds (9-0-1) of the Western Conference have had better run over the last 10 games than Ottawa (8-1-1) and Barrie (7-1-2).
Puck drop at the TD Place Arena is set for 7 p.m.
