67s rack up the goals in two blowout victories

Date:

The Ottawa 67’s are enjoying a hot start to chilly November.

The Barber Poles had a perfect weekend of action, taking down the Sarnia Sting 9-3 on home ice on Friday, and then downing the visiting Niagara Ice Dogs 6-2 on Saturday.

And on Wednesday, in their morning school day game at the Canadian Tire Centre, Ottawa beat Kingston 2-1 in a shootout.

With the slew of wins, the 67’s are sitting second in the ultra competitive East division, five points behind league-leading Brantford. The 67’s have seven points more than the Barrie Colts but sit behind them in the conference standings because Barrie is leading their division.

Next up for the 67’s is another school day game, this time in Kingston on Wednesday. The 67’s will then spend the weekend in midwestern Ontario, starting with a trip to Kitchener on Friday and ending with a clash in Owen Sound on Saturday.

Ottawa returns home on Nov. 28 to host the Oshawa Generals.
