Titans sitting at .500 as playoff push continues

Date:

The Ottawa Titans’ remarkable mid-season surge shows no sign of abating as the Frontier League squad powered past the Down East Bird Dawgs 10-4 Wednesday in Ottawa.

The victory puts the Titans (31-31) at .500 and has the team nipping at the heels of the New York Boulders (32-28) for the last wild-card spot in the Atlantic Conference.

It’s been a remarkable turnaround for the Ottawa team, who sank to 11-24 at one point in the season. But they were able to roar back into the playoff picture by winning all of their last eight series.

The Titans continue their first homestand of the second half of the season with the finale of a four-game series against the Down East Bird Dawgs Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Ottawa Stadium.

The Titans will then host the Evansville Otters for the first time since the 2022 season with a three-game series over the weekend.
