This Week in Barrie: Week of September 1

Date:

Barrie, get ready to start your carts! Cart collection begins September 8

Automated cart collection begins September 8! On your regular waste collection day, roll your
new carts to the curb by 7 a.m. If it’s your garbage week, set out both carts for collection. If it’s not your garbage week, just set out the organics cart. For non-downtown properties, organics is collected weekly, and garbage every other week.

Remember to place carts with the arrows on the lid facing the street, lids fully closed and allow 2 ft of space between each cart to ensure collection.

Residential recycling is not managed by the City and will continue to be collected in blue and grey boxes. Yard waste collection will also continue as usual.

For full details on the automated cart program, visit barrie.ca/CurbsideCollectionChanges.
