Stolen vehicle found buried under snow: Barrie Police

Date:

Barrie Police have located a stolen vehicle that was buried under snow, the police service shared in a news release.

Police responded Thursday morning to reports that a motor vehicle parked behind a Dunlop Street East establishment was impeding snow removal in the parking lot. Upon arriving at the scene, police identified the vehicle as reported stolen in Toronto last Thursday.

Once uncovered, the SUV was towed without incident, the news release said, and the reporting police service has been notified.

“The clean up is well underway after what was days of snow and snowsqualls impacting our community and it’s amazing what is being found beneath the heavy blanket of snow that has remained,” the news release stated.
