Colts take control of OHL’s Central Division

Date:

The Barrie Colts have halted a mini-skid to take control of the Central Division.

Barrie downed the visiting Peterborough Petes 3-1 on Saturday, allowing them to leapfrog North Bay for the division lead, and second in the conference.

The victory comes after a two-game skid saw Barrie lose in a shootout to Sault Ste. Marie and then an overtime defeat to Saginaw.

But those blemishes obscure an otherwise terrific last few weeks for the Colts, where they’ve picked up a point in every game since Oct. 24.

Next up for Barrie is tilt against the Sudbury Wolves on Wednesday.
