Colts sweep Wolves in home-and-home, fall to Greyhounds 4-3 in shootout

Date:

It’s official – the Barrie Colts are on a tear.

The Colts continued their recent success with an almost perfect weekend of play, downing the Sudbury Wolves in both legs of a home-and-home series, and losing 4-3 in a shootout to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Kashawn Aitcheson and Brad Gardiner led the way offensively for the Colts, with Aitcheson netting four goals over the weekend of play, while Gardiner potted in three.

With the recent hot streak, Barrie is now tied for first in the Central Division, and sits fourth in the OHL’s Eastern Conference.

Next up is a tilt against the Saginaw Spirit at home on Thursday. Barrie stays at home to wrap up the weekend against the Peterborough Petes on Saturday night.
