Suspect photos released in assault investigation

Additional photos of a suspect in a May 6 assault have been released by the Barrie Police Service.

On May 6, police responded to an area near Mayfair Drive near Ardagh Road to reports of a woman who had been assaulted by an unknown individual as they passed while walking on the sidewalk.

The investigation is ongoing and police have released additional photos of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators. 

Proactive traffic stop ends in arrest

A proactive traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a driver who was under suspension. A general patrol on the evening of May 13 observed a motor vehicle driving without an illuminated licence plate light, police said.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and learned that the female driver, 25, from Toronto was under suspension. She was arrested for driving under suspension and is scheduled to appear in court.
