Police report uptick in collisions

Barrie Police and the Barrie Collision Reporting Centre (CRC) have investigated almost 45 collisions between Sunday and Tuesday, the police service shared in a news release Tuesday.

Many of the collisions are attributed to extreme winter weather and there have not been any serious injuries, police said.

Police are reminding Barrie residents that vehicles involved in a collision where police are not required can be driven to the collision reporting centre, where information is obtained, damage is photographed and necessary reports are completed.
