67s open season with 6-2 victory in Kingston

Date:

The Ottawa 67s started their 2025-26 season on the right foot, racing out to a three goal first period on route to a 6-2 victory Friday night over the Kingston Frontenacs.

Despite playing on the road, Ottawa had control of the game the entire night, holding multiple four-goal leads and sending 42 shots on net, while limiting Kingston to only 19 shots.

It was a quiet opening weekend for the 67s, with only one game scheduled. But that will change soon.

The 67s will head to North Bay to take on the Battalion on Sept. 26 before returning home to open their schedule at TD Place Arena against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhound on Sept. 28.

Last season, the 67s missed the playoffs, finishing seven points out of the final spot. It was the first time the 67s had missed the postseason since 2013-14.
