67s drop first game of 2025-26 season

Date:

The Ottawa 67s are still riding high in the Ontario Hockey League standings but can no longer claim to be perfect.

The team lost its first game of the 2025-26 campaign last weekend to division rival Brantford Bulldogs, dropping an 8-5 decision.

Brantford, the top team in the Eastern Conference, has yet to lose a game in regulation this season, maintaining a 6-0-2 record over eight games. Ottawa is close behind in the standings, sitting only two points back with a 6-1-0 record.

The 67s have the second-best record in the Eastern Conference but because the team doesn’t lead their division, they are sitting in third behind the Central Division-leading Niagara Ice Dogs.

Next up for the 67s is a tilt Friday night against the Frontenacs in Kingston. After a stopover in Peterborough the next day, the 67s return to Ottawa to face-off against Kingston on Sunday afternoon.
